About The Wine:
Château David is a family winery of the Coutreau Family. In 1985 the winery received the prestigious title of Cru Bourgeois. And at the following Cru Bourgeois classifications in 2003 and 2005, the Château was allowed to take the title again.

A beautifully made Médoc. With clearly recognizable red bell pepper from the Cabernet Sauvignon and lots of cassis. A red wine with good concentration and structure due to the clearly present tannins. A food wine par excellence. Delicious with lamb or roast red meat.

Winemaker’s Notes
Château David is one of the most northerly properties in the appellation, located at the entrance to Vensac, one of the typical villages of the Medoc tip. Cradled between two waters, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Gironde estuary to the east, the vineyard enjoys a mild and temperate climate.

Family owned since the end of the 19th century, the Chateau David is managed with passion and rigor by Sabine Coutreau, representative of the fifth generation of winegrowers.

Tasting Notes
This Château belongs to the Coutreau family and is one of the most westerly Médocs in Bordeaux. Sabine Coutreau has found the ideal balance between strength, elegance and complexity. Matured in French oak barrels. Aromas of ripe red fruit, dosed wood, vanilla, pepper,… Taste: a lot of ripe red fruit (plums, cassis), long finish, soft but nevertheless present tannins Beautiful storage potential.

“A palatable, supple, fruity wine with a fruit, delicately woody bouquet, ideally suited for cellaring. A real value from the Médoc terroir and an excellent ambassador of the Médoc.”

Food Suggestions: Delicious with Asian cuisine, Barbecue, Snacks, Fondue, Poultry, Grill dishes, Cheeses (hard cheeses), Cheeses (soft cheeses), Pasta dishes, Pizza, Red meat, Stew, Pork, Game as well as Bordeaux-style snails.
