Winemaker’s Notes:
The Château Lespault-Martillac red 2018 is a wine with a very generous aromatic complexity dominated by red and black fruits, as well as secondary notes of sweet spices and vanilla. Ample, powerful and round on the palate, its strong expressive character is complemented by a very nice balance between freshness and noble tannins. Its ageing potential looks very good!

  • 93 Robert Parker - Wine Advocate

The 2018 Lespault-Martillac has a deep garnet-purple color, rolling out of the glass with compelling notes of crushed blackberries, fresh blueberries and mulberries, plus wafts of underbrush, wilted roses and red earth. The medium to full-bodied palate has impressive energy, featuring firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness to support the muscular black fruits, finishing long and mineral laced. Nicely done!
