Tasting Notes
This underrated fifth growth is a fantastic Pauillac and annually represents excellent value for money. A large part of the wine making process is done by hand at Grand Puy Ducasse and the resulting wine is balanced, fresh and modern. The wine is abundantly age-worthy with a great aromatic complexity that is decidedly Pauillac in character.

Flaschenpost.ch:
“Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate ocher brightening. Fine blackberry jam, ripe heart cherries, delicate nougat, subtle precious wood touch. Medium complexity, dark fruit, tannins present, mineral notes, delicate herbal spices and dark chocolate in the finish, already accessible.”

Quite brambly summer-berry and dark-plum aromas with a thread of violets and cassis. The palate has a smooth, pastry-like tannin texture and is gently grainy and layered. Very fresh and elegant finish. Try from 2021. (Suckling) (9/1/2021)
