“Very beautiful purple colr, intense nose with aromas of ripe fruit, oriental spices, truffle and mineral notes typical of this terroir. Rich and powerful wine relayed by a nice freshness at the end of the mouth which affirms its personality.”
Owned by the Bordeaux based company Mahler-Besse, Taja expresses its terroir: Jumilla. To the north of Murcia, in this sunny region, the vineyard is spread over clay soil at an altitude of 500 – 800 m. Taja Exelencia is the fruit of a special vinification of Tempranillo (75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) grapes. Aged in 8 months in new French oak barrels, this rich and complex wine is remarkable by its intensity and freshness of fruit.
Perched on the rugged lands of the Jumilla region in south-eastern Spain, the Taja “la faille vineyard grows on arid soil suberbly exposed. Jumilla is considered by Robert Parker “as one of the most imporatant wine revelations of the last twenty-five years.
The Taja vineyard, like a green oasis in the desert, is a real wine miracle! The Taja range was created in 1987 by Mahler-Besse in association with one of the most beautiful bodegas of the appellation. The Taja range offers young, lively and smooth wines, reflecting a contemporary taste focused on the flavors of the world.
